AND I believe there are auth...I love short stories! AND I believe there are authors who sell books with A LOT less than 20,000 words. You're going to have some complain about it being too short, but I've seen that happen even with fair warning that its a short story. So don't let the length bother you. I would think it would be a perfect way to get new readers. They may get a 99 cent book of yours just to check you out! I've got a huge coll...I love those short reads. I've got a huge collection of the mini-stories.
