Hello September

One of my favorite things about September, aside from school starting back up (I know my fellow moms are nodding right along with me) is the return of some of my favorite television shows. I spend far less time watching television than I used to, probably because once I'm done tucking my kids into bed at night and skim whatever I wrote earlier that day, I'd much rather curl up with a book than end up falling asleep watching TV. That said, there are a few shows I'm looking forward to getting back to this fall.

Glee - What can I say? I'm a sucker for teen angst. Throw in the Glee club doing a few covers of songs I love(are you hearing Journey's Don't Stop Believing in your head yet?) and I'm sold. Plus Sue...funny as hell.

Vampire Diaries - Remember that teen angst thing? Yeah lots of that here, plus vampires. I doubt I need to explain my interest in paranormal romance. :)

Hawaii Five-O - Alex O'Loughlin. Need I say more? Okay, I probably don't, but if you love island settings and action filled cop/special investigator shows, this will entertain.

The Walking Dead - If blood and gore and oh yeah, dead bodies, make you squeamish, this is not the show for you. But if you love post-apocalyptic stuff, especially zombies, as much as I do, then you need to check out the first season of this show before the next one kicks off in October. This one I'm looking forward to the most.

So what about you? Any favorite shows you're eager to see start back up again? Not a regular TV viewer? What books are you looking forward to this fall?

  1. Ooooh. Justified. Timothy Olyphant. Should I say more? And I'm looking forward to seeing how Bones handles the whole pregnancy thing.

  2. I rarely watch TV since I spend most evening writing but I love 2 1/2 Men and I'm so curious to know how that's going to turn out! Obviously Charlie Sheen was a big part of it, but I believe the writers are what made that show so incredibly funny, and I'm hopeful it still will be.
