Hello Friday!
The weekend is almost here and I don't know about you guys, but I'm planning on shooing the herd outside to play and taking advantage of a quiet house to catch up on a little reading time.
Last month we chatted about contemporary romance and I may have dropped a shameless plug about the Promise Harbor Wedding series. I'm totally not doing that this time :) We mentioned authors like Julie James, Carla Neggers and J. Lynn last month and some favorite storylines.
This month we're turning up the heat and setting the pages on fire with Erotic Romance! Pick your pleasure and tell us what storylines you love best about erotic romance. Are you a closet menage fan? Love it when the restraints come out? Do you reread the smokin' sex scenes?
So what erotic romance have you read lately? Who are your favorite ER authors and books? And we cannot forget the heroes. What do you love best about erotic romance heroes? Themes you love? Hate? Did you read Fifty Shades of Gray? What did you think?
Leave a comment and be entered to win a winner's choice backlist ebook from one of the Naughty Nine. Contest closes Sunday, May 12th.
May Reading Challenge - Reader's Choice
I love Julia Ross's stuff, although it may not be considered erotic anymore. Games of Pleasure is a good one.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty obsessed with Lorelei James' Rough Riders series. I believe it was the first Erotic labeled book I read and I was hooked.
ReplyDeleteI believe that's why I am not a fan girl of 50 Shades. Entertaining... yes, but lacking for me when it comes to fully formed romance and relationships. It's more about the psychology behind Christian for me.
I have several authors who can write and give some of the steamiest scenes in books like Karla Doyle, Lacey Thorn, Maya Banks, and Shayla Black. What I look in a good book apart of the sex scenes is the connection between the characters.
ReplyDeleteI love Annabel Joseph, Kallypso Masters, Cherise Sinclair, and the list goes on from there. I love anything with a happy ending. I did read the Fifty Shades books, but they didn't do anything for me. By the last one I was bored.

Love erotic romance! I too am a Lorelei James fan. And if course the naughty Naughties right here! Cari Quinn also writes some great hot stuff!
ReplyDeleteHi my name is Robin I'm a closet menage/BDSM reader. shh don't tell :)
ReplyDeleteMy list isn't very long but it has some great ones on it. Lauren Dane, Maya Banks, Sylvia Day, Mari Carr, Jayne Rylon, Vivian Arend (though she isn't considered erotic more dirty :) ) I could go on but these are my auto buys.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading Maya Banks' Fever. Maya is one of my favourite erotic romance authors.
ReplyDeleteI love maya banks, and just started reading Nicole Edwards. New to erotica..but so far I find I enjoy it. And quite frankly I learned a few things. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the alpha males, with some dominant traits, I love Kallypso Master's Rescue Me series with bdsm. I like the d/s but not a master/slave, that does not turn me on. I also love Sable Hunter's Hell Yeah series along with the Cajun Spice which is part of the Hell Yeah too. Actually, Finding Dandi is next on my list. I also like Ryan O'Leary's J's Closet and he is also collaborating with Sable and Jess Hunter in some books too. I also like to read ménage a trois but only of the mfm or mmf variety. I don't care for fmf or ffm type. Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteThe Badass Brats series (Carrie Silverwood os one of the three authors writing it), Maya Banks, Eden Bradley, Cherise Sinclair, and the list goes on ad infinitum.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading erotic romance. I love the Crossfire series from Sylvia Day; I am enjoying Maya Banks' Breathless series; and Jaci Burton's Play By Play series is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI read just about every type except m/m. I don't mind m/f/m, just not only m/m.
I've read a bunch of the International Heat authors and the Smutketeers and Katie Porter...they're among my favorites! I also have some Desiree Holt to catch up on.
ReplyDeleteI have NOT read 50 Shades and have no plans to.
Oh, and duh--naturally you Naughty Nine! (Clearly my brain's in a haze ;))
ReplyDeleteI love to read it all! I read something for Skylar recently that is an absolutely AWESOME BDSM. I can't wait for it to come out!
ReplyDeleteThe only positive to 50 Shades in my books is that it led many readers to you gals! <3
Thank you for mentioning that Badass Brats series, Sky - I want to check it out!
ReplyDelete<3<3<3 Kim!
ReplyDeleteKelly, it really is wonderful, and they just released a new book!
I loved 50 Shades. These books got me started on erotic books. Sylvia Day has really great books. I just read Summer Ellis The Cartell Series. Her books have a real good story line. And she has lots of guys she is in love with. Or course Laurel K. Hamilton has two series and both or hot.
