October Pick Your Pleasure: wine and chocolate edition

What would be worse: having cheap jug wine as your only alcoholic beverage option, or having cheap milk chocolate as your only dessert option?

Kelly: Definitely cheap wine. I can easily live without chocolate.
Meg: Definitely the cheap wine. I could skip the chocolate, but not the wine!
Erin: I already eat cheap milk chocolate! LOL! I'd say the wine too.
Syd: See now I think I have to say the chocolate would be worse, because no matter what cheap chocolate will always taste like cheap chocolate. But the wine on the other hand, once you force down a glass or two, it's only going to get better
PG: I'm confused. I think I agree with Syd. Except I think I agree with Kelly and Meg too. Just give me the wine.
Kate: I could force down cheap wine if necessary. Cheap chocolate would hurt my heart.
Juniper: I'm with the cheap wine, high-quality chocolate crowd. I have no palate at all.
Skylar: what, give up my artisan chocolate? Pass the 70% cacao with sea salt and caramel...and the tequila.

September Pick Your Pleasure: how do you take your heroes?

Do you prefer your romance heroes to be super Alpha males, or sweet & romantic Betas?

Kate: I have a soft spot for betas.

PG: I like alphas. I don't feel as bad when i make them suffer.  

Meg: Um...who says sweet romantic guys can't also be alpha when it comes to protecting the women they love? I like heroes with brains and brawn, thank you very much.  

Kelly: Frack! I can't choose! I guess my preference leans to alphas. The alpha who is brought to his knees by love.  

Erin: That's a tough one. I like writing both and I like reading both. Honestly, in real life? The strong but sweet beta. Writing, probably the alpha.

Sydney: I'm with Meg, I'm all about the alphas who have their sweet, romantic moments.

Juniper: In bed, the alpha. Out of bed, I'm flexible.

Skylar: In romance novels, I'll take the Alpha almost every time, though I've read some amazing betas.

Kelly: Wine. White wine. Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Or Menage a Trois red.
Sydney: Wine for me too. Red!
Erin: Wine... sweet white wine. Of course, liquor of nearly any kind is my first choice :)
PG: I honestly like both. But wine probably has an edge. Right now my favorite is Peachy Canyon's Incredible Red Zinfandel. (Kelly says: I've looked in 3 different stores for that wine!)
Meg: Wine, definitely.
Kinsey: wine - honestly will any of us say beer?
Kate: Definitely not me. Wine all the way.
Juniper: I want to say beer just to stand out from the crowd, but I cannot tell a lie. Wine.
Skylar: Uh, that beer drinker would be me. I guess I have the whole six pack of Blue Moon to myself!

Beer or Wine?
	Wine--red, white, rose, or any other variety.

Well, it was supposed to be boxers or briefs, but at the Nine Naughty Novelists, nothing can be that easy.

Kate: Damn. Can I be wishy-washy and vote for boxer briefs? Because they're
my favorite. :)

PG: Can I answer outside the box and say Commando?

Meg: Okay, briefs. But boxers look really cool too.

Kelly: I'm with Kate - boxer brief, low rise.  

Sydney: Same goes for me as Kate and Kelly. But I love PG's answer too :) 

Juniper: I like it when my hubby wears his boxers that are decorated with flames and the words "Let me stand next to your fire." ;-) 

Erin: I like boxers best too! Need some with flames on them around here though...

Kinsey: Boxer briefs! 

Skylar: boxer briefs *are* really sexy!
